This second multi-million dollar educational initiative aspires to replicate the tremendous success of the Tangelo Park Program in Parramore, a neighborhood adjacent to downtown Orlando. In August 2017, the Rosen Preschool opened welcoming two-, three-, and four-year-old children into 24 preschool classrooms—free of cost.
The benefits of this program also extend to students wishing to pursue education beyond high school. Students living in the Parramore who graduate from Jones High School receive a free two or four-year college or vocational school education. This includes meals, transportation, tuition, room and board, and books. The Rosen Parramore PS8 Foundation covers the costs. Moreover, the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine, a partner of the Parramore Preschool Program, has extended free tuition to students in this program who also received an undergraduate degree from UCF and who wish to seek a four-year degree from the UCF College of Medicine.
